COSSA'S COMMITMENT TO OUR COMMUNITIES
Central Ohio Shetland Sheepdog Association is committed to helping out in our community. We have assisted various organizations to help the pets in our communities in times of need. Our membership approved a donation to AKC Reunite to help fund a Pet Disaster Relief Trailer for the Central Ohio area.
With the ever-increasing number of floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and wildfires, AKC Reunite is helping communities across the nation prepare by mobilizing AKC Pet Disaster Relief.
The trailers house and deliver essential supplies such as fans, lighting and generators; cleaning supplies; maintenance items; and animal care items including crates and carries, AKC Reunite microchips and an AKC Reunite universal microchip scanner as well as bowls, collars and leashes. These supplies can be used as co-location shelters, where people can evacuate with their pets, as well as emergency animal shelters for displaced animals.
The AKC Pet Disaster Relief trailer stationed in Stark County is one of two serving the Central Ohio area. The second trailer is stationed in Delaware County.
